I am a volunteer at a maritime museum and would like to inform my executive director about the guns. I understand there are eight (now six) in Portsmouth, VA. I would like to know where you obtained your guns from, your POC, and the logistics you had to go through to obtain them. I am really working on my own here and would appreciate any information you can provide. Regards, and the very best of successes to you. David Fitzpatrick LT, MSC, USNR (Ret)

As Commander for the "POW/MIA/KIA Honor Guard" I am more than honored to support this great event as we presented colors on the first day of the arrival of both Gun Barrels and have also Posted Colors during the Pearl Harbor Ceremony on 7 December and for the Ground Breaking. We will also Present colors in 2013.

Coming from a Navy family, I as a Retired Sailor, have the deepest respect for my brothers on the eternal watch. Visiting the Arizona Memorial in Hawaii brings a peace over you. I think having her big guns on the Capitol grounds would serve as a reminder of the sacrifices this country has made to keep our Freedom. God bless the souls onboard her forever standing their watch.
